Jobs On The Outside

Jobs on the Outside (J.O.T.O.) is a free comprehensive training program that prepares individuals with a criminal background to successfully obtain and keep a job. Without meaningful work and a supportive network, there is an increased risk of recidivism (relapse into former criminal behavior and imprisonment). Classes are held twice a month from 8:30am-12:30pm at the Community Resource Center at 1235 South Eugene Street, Greensboro.

Eligibility

  • Must have a criminal background
  • Must not have charges pending
  • Must be at least 16-years-old
  • Must Attend Orientation

Orientation to be accepted into the J.O.T.O. program:  
Greensboro: Every Monday at 10 am at 1235 South Eugene Street 

Burlington: Every Monday at 12 pm at 3740 South Church Street 

The J.O.T.O. program offers:

  • Job Search and Placement Assistance
  • Resume Preparation
  • Career Readiness Training
  • Community Service Agency Referrals

J.O.T.O. staff members are available for speaking engagements to discuss post-release services.
