Many thanks to:

for partnering
with Goodwill Industries.
It is the mission of Goodwill Industries
to provide vocational training and job assistance to persons with barriers
to competitive employment.
The Commercial Services Division of Goodwill Industries is
an active training component of an individual’s personal vocational
training. While earning a wage, individuals work in a variety of functions,
learn interpersonal skills of working with others, and learn the importance
of supervision, work ethic and personal productivity.

To accomplish the mission of this type of vocational training,
Goodwill Industries of Central North Carolina, Inc. partners
with local businesses. The partnership is truly unique. Goodwill
Industries offers
a closely supervised work force, while the business pays Goodwill
to perform the outsourced work. In turn, Goodwill compensates
participants of the program. It is a winning combination for scores
of businesses
who have discovered Goodwill’s commitment to excellence, quality
and training.
We believe that quality is not “in the eye of the beholder” but
in the skill of the individual. Program participants at Goodwill
are encouraged every day to learn valuable work traits such
as time management,
quality, commitment and diligence.

Within Goodwill’s Commercial Services Division, we define quality
as “meeting your needs.” This means that we find out
exactly what our customers need, establish formal requirements and
conform
to those requirements all of the time. While a business might
have many places they can outsource work to, the standards
set by Goodwill Industries usually far exceed any competitive labor
pool.
For more than a decade, the Commercial Services division has
become a proven leader in offering companies the solutions they seek.
Our turn key operation in assembly, manufacturing, packaging and other
light industrial hands-on services plays a vital role in major companies
throughout the Piedmont. Companies that can affirm the value of our
service include:
• Twinings Tea
• Dow Corning
• American Express
• Burlington Industries
• Convatec, Bristol Myers Squibb
• Time Warner
• Guilford Mills
• Piedmont Fasteners
• Great American Knitting Mills
• Wrangler, VF
• Shamrock/Innisbrook Corporation
• Modern Metals Products
• Gold Medal Hosiery
• and a host of others

Whether your company is large or small, contracting with Commercial
Services is a smart thing to do. Competitive pricing, our impressive
record of quality work, our ready work team, a multi-level storage
facility, easily accessible loading bays and our convenient location
are all reasons to consider Goodwill for your outsourcing work needs.
Your partnership with Goodwill, however, is more than a good
business decision. Your partnership impacts lives of individuals with
special needs. Here individuals learn about the responsibilities of
employment, how to work and function as a member of a team, and become
knowledgeable of productivity goals.
