Goodwill Industries Shopping Tips
1. Know your price range before you go shopping.
2. Grab a partner. Shopping is always fun when you have someone to shop with.
3. ONLY shop at reputable resale stores like GOODWILL!
4. Don't be in a rush! Goodwill stores have so much at great discounts: you have to take your time looking. Unlike a department store, there are very few of each unique item, so take your time going through each rack. To score the best deals on items, take your time!
5. Make sure you have had plenty of rest...good rest means good shopping!
6. Map out your shopping day. Make sure you have determined which stores you want to hit that day, map it out ahead of schedule to save gas and time!
7. Sign up for the E-Newsletter to get the latest on store sales, specials and discount days to save even more money. It's the block to your to the left in RED, marked NEWSLETTER SIGN-UP.
8. Become good friends with the sales staff at Goodwill. They will be able to better inform you on when the newest goods hit the floor. Goodwill puts thousands of new goods out every day, so be sure to stop in the store at least once a week.
9. Make a point to visit a few weeks after a change of season, a time when many people clean out their closets to make room for the new goods they have.
10. Consider altering items that may not fit perfectly. Chances are you will still have saved a lot of money after the alterations on brand name/designer goods!
Remember, shopping Goodwill not only saves you a lot of money on quality name brand goods, but the money you spend at Goodwill Industries is helping people with barriers to employment. Goodwill Industries of Central NC places almost 90% of the money made in our stores into our job training and service programs to help individuals in our very own backyards become self sufficient!
