Employability Skills Session II on Tuesday, July 25 from 2:00 p.m. – 3:30 p.m. at the Triad Goodwill Career Center at 1235 S. Eugene St. in Greensboro, NC.
This course is the second session in a two-part series and will focus on topics related to starting a new job and how to be successful in your new position. Being happy and satisfied with your job can be the best thing that happens to you. When a person enjoys their employment, they have a better work and life balance. This course will cover:
- Interpersonal skills in the workplace and how they will make you successful.
- Recognizing appropriate and inappropriate workplace relationships.
- Understanding proper workplace conversations and etiquette.
- How to deal with difficult people.
- Learning different communication styles in the workplace.
- Interpreting payroll practices and reading paystubs.
- Gaining a grasp of what being a dependable employee means.
- Punctuality and attendance practices in the workplace.
- Learning how to properly leave a job.
