Donating to Triad Goodwill is a

You win, by cleaning out your closet AND by making donations that help people in our community achieve their employment goals.

Our community wins, by having access to free job-training services, plus 25 convenient locations to shop for low-cost, quality items for their families and homes.

The planet wins, by keeping unwanted items out of local landfills.

While we accept many items, there are a few tips and guidelines
we would like to share to keep our employees and facilities safe.

Donation Guidelines

Please only donate items during donation hours at Triad Goodwill donation centers.

If items are left unattended, they can be stolen or damaged, and then we won’t be able to sell them.

When donating items, consider whether you would give your items to a friend or family member.

If the item is excessively damaged or soiled, and you would not give it to someone you know, please consider other disposal methods.

Items We Accept:

Gently worn clothing, shoes and fashion accessories

Furniture

Collectibles and antiques

Books, music and movies

Electronic equipment

Toys, video games and video game systems

Infant and children’s clothing and shoes

Housewares and home décor

Household textiles and bedding

Computers and related accessories

Sports equipment

Flat-panel televisions (working televisions only)

What We Cannot Accept:

Mattresses and box springs

Hazardous, flammable and toxic materials

Baby equipment (strollers, car seats, cribs, high chairs, etc.)

Items that have been recalled by the Consumer Product Safety Commission

Non-flat screen televisions (such as cathode ray tube televisions)

Donate Your Time & Volunteer

Ready to roll up your sleeves and help our organization?
All volunteers must be at least 16 years old and must
provide a background check if 18 years or older.

Retail Stores Volunteers:

We can always use extra hands to help at any of our 24 retail stores. Some responsibilities include:

  • Donation and donor assistance
  • Cart sanitization
  • Hanging and sorting textiles
  • Inspecting and merchandising
  • Electronics and video game testing

*must be able to lift 25 lbs.

Career Service Volunteers:

Our Career Centers help our job seekers every day. Some ways you can assist include:

  • Network room assistance
  • Hiring event and career fair registration assistance
  • Workshop Instruction

*Career Center volunteer opportunities are limited and on an as-needed basis.
