In-Person Training: Employability Skills III: Workplace Navigation

In-Person Training on Wednesday, January 25 from 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. at Triad Goodwill’s Career Center at 1235 S. Eugene St. in Greensboro. Gaining employment can be an exciting adventure and even a relief that you have income for yourself and your family. This course is designed to assist individuals with navigating the workplace and understanding terminology and unwritten rules to help them be successful in their job. Topics in this course include:
- Understanding the proper chain of command in a workplace
- Understanding job descriptions, employee handbooks, and other documents you will encounter on your job
- Interpreting payroll practices and reading paystubs
- Gaining a grasp of what being a dependable employee means
- Punctuality and attendance practices in the workplace
- Learning how to properly leave a job
