In-Person Training: Essential Computer Skills

In-Person Training Event: Wednesday, January 18 from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. at Triad Goodwill’s Career Center at 1235 S. Eugene Street in Greensboro. 
(*The initial meeting is in-person, then on-demand lessons through NorthStar Digital Learning.)

The Essential Computer Skills course is designed to assist individuals with learning the basics of computer operation. Digital skills are a vital part of everyday life and necessary for success in the workplace. This course will cover topics such as:

• learning to log on and shut down computers and other devices,
• navigating computer functions,
• troubleshooting basic computer challenges,
• setting preferences for computer use.
• basics of email use in your personal and professional life
• best practices for writing emails, and how to manage their inboxes for better efficiency.
• online safety concepts to help protect you when using email.
• other avenues for digital communication, including cell phones and other devices.
