Spring Trend Hunting 2026

Who Said You Have to Shop New to Be On-Trend This Season?

Over the past couple of months, I explored multiple Triad Goodwill stores to see what spring and summer trends I could find. I focused on pieces that reflected current trends while still fitting my elevated, slightly edgy style. The result was a collection of stylish, current pieces that proved it’s not about where you shop, but how you shop. Let’s dive in!

What I Looked for While Thrifting

For the spring and summer season, I’m naturally drawn to brighter colors like soft pinks and pastel blues, so I always keep an eye out for tops in those shades. When it comes to fabrics, lightweight natural materials like cotton, linen, and silk are always on my radar because they work perfectly for warmer weather.
Since my style leans elevated, I also look for fun textures, prints, and unique details like lace, ruffles, or statement accents that make an outfit feel more interesting and personal.

The Items I Found

Shopping intentionally definitely paid off! I found so many gems across the different stores. One of my favorite finds was a beautiful pink gown from the Project Prom event at the West Market store. The moment I tried it on, I felt like I had stepped into a fairy tale.
I also found a classic denim jumpsuit that was brand new with tags. It ended up being the perfect piece for both spring and summer, and I’ve already worn it for work and casual outings.
Another standout thrift find was an edgy animal print mini dress from Michael Kors. The dress featured a stunning belt detail on the sleeve and fit like a glove. Pieces like these are what makes thrifting so exciting.

How I Styled Everything

Thrift shopping is fun, but styling those thrifted pieces is the best part! I love creating series where I style the items I find while thrifting.
For spring, layering is key. I love taking a classic dress or jumpsuit and pairing it with a lightweight blazer or cardigan for an elevated look. I usually finish the look off the fun accessories like a boot or hat to add my own touch.I also enjoy mixing different silhouettes together, like a fitted top with flowy wide-leg pants, to create balance within an outfit.
Styling color during the spring season is another part I really enjoy. I usually like to mix bold colors with neutrals to create looks that feel fresh, wearable, and still true to my style.

Why Thrifting Works for Trends

People often assume thrift stores only carry outdated items, but that really isn’t the case. Fashion trends are constantly repeating themselves, and many of today’s popular styles pull inspiration from the early 2000s and the ’90s.
Shopping at Goodwill makes it easy to experiment with different colors, silhouettes, and trends without committing to full retail prices. Beyond style, thrifting is also a more sustainable way to shop. Buying secondhand helps extend the life of clothing and reduces waste, making it a more conscious approach to fashion.

My Final Takeaways

After visiting multiple Goodwill stores across the Triad, I can confidently say you don’t need a huge budget or an entirely new wardrobe to shop for the spring and summer season.
Triad Goodwill offers a mix of trend-driven pieces, timeless staples, and unique finds that make it easy to create stylish looks for warmer weather. Spring and summer style isn’t about chasing every trend, it’s about finding the trends that work for you and your personal style.
I hope this blog encourages you to explore thrifting for the spring and summer season. I turned this thrift trip into a full vlog series watch the reels here!
