Greensboro, NC – When Goodwill Industries of Central North Carolina, Inc. (Triad Goodwill) launched their Truck Sale Summer Tour on June 26th, it was a hit!
Goodwill fans and diehard thrift-shoppers lined up around Triad Goodwill’s Lawndale Retail Store hours before it opened in hopes of scoring great finds among the surplus of donated goods being tucked into the store. More importantly, shoppers took advantage of the up to 50% off EXCLUSIVE DISCOUNTS given to the first 100 attendees.
Because of the incredible response, Triad Goodwill will expand their Truck Sale Summer Tour to THREE additional locations.
The next stop on the Truck Sale Summer Tour will take place on Friday, July 24 at the Retail Store and Donation Center located on 3739 West Gate City Boulevard, Greensboro 27407.
Doors will open at 10 a.m., but we urge shoppers to show up early to make sure they are among the first in line to score great deals.
Mama Crocket’s Cider Donuts will be present for the West Gate City Boulevard Event as well, selling their fantastic donuts and ciders.
Additionally, the first 100 shoppers will receive a special scratch-off ticket for an exclusive discount on all donated goods. The discounts will range from 5% to 50% off and can only be used on donated goods during the day of the event.

Triad Goodwill’s Truck Sale events will start when their stores open. Their current business hours are 10 a.m. – 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 1 p.m. – 6 p.m. on Sunday. Store hours are subject to change.

TRUCK SALE FAQ’s
Q. – How can you give 100 discount cards when the capacity for your stores is much less than that?
A. – We will be giving away one discount card per customer at the register. We will also be observing our current social distancing guidelines in terms of store occupancy as well. Once a shopper is ready to make their purchases, we give them the card and they discover what they win! We will continue to give discount cards to shoppers until we have exhausted the 100 card limit.
Q. – Can we combine the exclusive discount with our PC Card discount!
A. – As we mentioned above, the answer is YES! PC Card discounts can be combined with the exclusive discounts shoppers receive from the scratch-off cards at the event! Not that this offer applies only to donated goods on the day and at the location of the event where the discount was won.
Q. – Are we allowed to wait in line before the store opens?
A. – Yes! Our Gate City Boulevard store will open at 10 a.m. on July 24th, but patrons are allowed to line up at the entrance. Just make sure to observe proper social distancing guidelines! Please remember that we are only giving scratch-off discount cards to the first 100 shoppers!
Q. – Where did these surplus donations come from?
A. – During the mandated shutdown of our retail stores, Triad Goodwill continued to accept donations. Our donors were incredibly generous during this time, and we now have truckloads of great finds and amazing deals to share with our community all summer long! The discoveries at these events will be TREMENDOUS!
Q. – How many scratch off discount cards can I get at this event?
A. – Due to the limited quantities of this exclusive discount, we can only give ONE (1) SCRATCH OFF CARD PER CUSTOMER PER TRUCK SALE EVENT. Shoppers are welcome to get additional Scratch Off Discount Cards at future Truck Sale Events!
Q. – Can I use the discount I get at the Truck Sale on other shopping days and/or at other Triad Goodwill Retail Stores?
A. – This exclusive discount can only be used at the select Triad Goodwill Truck Sale store on the day of the event.
Q. – Why aren’t they hosting a Truck Sale event at my personal favorite Triad Goodwill Retail Store?
A. – We love that our shoppers have their favorite Triad Goodwill Retail Stores that they have designated as their favorite. It really speaks to our team’s efforts to create a sense of community at each and every one of our stores. That said, we selected the stores in this initial tour based on 1-Year Store Anniversaries as well as to celebrate updates at our West Gate City Boulevard location. We apologize if we missed your favorite store for this tour, but the good news is that if these Truck Sale events are a hit, we will definitely host them at additional stores!
