Four Simple DIY Gifts from Crystal!

Meet Crystal Carlisle— she’s a mom, plant mom, thrifter, and highly skilled DIY-er! Crystal is being very generous this holiday season and has given us four DIY “thrift gift” ideas to share with you all! It’s the gift that keeps on giving! Crystal hopes everyone will consider gifting thrifted this season to save the planet and save their pockets!

All of these ideas are super quick and not too difficult to complete, so they make great last minute presents. Without further ado, lets get into these gifts!

Idea #1

Vintage cookie tins and mugs make the perfect holiday treat holders. Make cookies or buy some festive candies to fill and pass out to the neighbors or your coworkers. Crystal used pretzels!

Idea #2

Let’s turn a vintage candy jar into a unique candle. Melt a few used candles in the oven at 350°F for 15 minutes or until melted. Add wick to your new candle and pour wax to fill (careful it’s HOT!).

Idea #3

Bud vases are perfect with just a couple of fresh stems thrown in. You can buy one bouquet and make several gifts. The more the merrier!

Idea #4

Footed dishes make cute planters. Take some of those propagated cuttings and give the gift of plants!
