Triad Goodwill is happy to announce that one of our community partners, GuilfordWorks, has partnered with Coursera through the Workforce Recovery Initiative. This initiative was implemented to provide job seekers impacted by COVID-19 with access to the learning platform and relevant skills to re-enter the workforce. Impacted workers include those that may have experienced job loss, reduced hours, and/or furlough due to the pandemic.
Times are tough and job competition is high, so career and skills training can provide displaced workers a boost needed to stand out from the crowd. Coursera is the perfect resource for people to do just that. Through the initiative users have access to over 3,ooo courses on Coursera that cover job-relevant skills in business, technology, and data science as well as courses with relevant upskilling content such as construction, manufacturing, and health care. The platform is mobile-friendly, available in multiple languages, and provides extensive back-end support to ensure accessibility on any device. For those without regular internet access, the courses can also be downloaded and accessed offline!
