Triad Goodwill’s Burlington Career Center has joined forces with several organizations within the Morrow Town Task Force for their second annual Career and Resource Fair, Morrow Town Moving Forward, on Thursday, June 27!
The Morrow Town Task Force is a collection of organizations, including Triad Goodwill working together to reduce crime and improve the Burlington neighborhood of Morrow Town.
The Task Force seeks to provide a holistic approach to supporting the community. Their goals include finding jobs for people with families, encouraging residents to pursue educational goals, offering mentorship programs, improving housing, curbing drug trafficking, and increasing public transit access.
Last year, the very first Career and Resource Fair empowered the Morrow Town and nearby areas by bringing employment opportunities and resources to the community. It was a day of fun activities, raffle giveaways, information, and testimonies. This year’s Fair seeks to do the same.
Morrow Town Moving Forward will be held at the Burlington Assembly of God, located at 821 Tucker St in Burlington from 1 pm to 4 pm. All are welcome to attend!
