GREENSBORO, NCGoodwill Industries of Central North Carolina, Inc. (Triad Goodwill) is excited to announce the launch of Goodwill On The Go – a new mobile career center that will provide digital access, career services, and training opportunities to rural communities in Central North Carolina. The mobile career center was funded by the Digital Champion Grant, awarded to the organization in June of 2024 by the N.C. Department of Information Technology’s Office of Digital Equity and Literacy. The grant program is part of the federal American Rescue Plan Act and will expand digital equity programming and advance digital inclusion and opportunity across North Carolina.

“The introduction of Goodwill On The Go will bring valuable resources and educational opportunities directly to the heart of our rural communities,” explains Harisa Miller, digital navigator for Triad Goodwill. “By providing access to essential digital tools and training, we are ensuring that everyone can benefit from the opportunities that technology offers. This mobile unit will foster growth, learning, and empowerment for all individuals in Alamance, Caswell, Guilford, Randolph, and Rockingham counties.”

Beginning in February 2025, Triad Goodwill’s mobile career center will travel throughout their 5-county territory and provide various career services to community members at no cost. Some offerings that Goodwill On The Go will provide are employment and support services, career navigation, digital literacy training, resume and interview assistance, access to internet, printing and scanning services, and much more.
