GREENSBORO, NC – Goodwill Industries of Central North Carolina, Inc. (Triad Goodwill) is thrilled to announce Kevin James, Ph. D, as the organization’s new Chief Financial Officer (CFO). James will be based out of the organization’s home office in Greensboro, North Carolina and will begin in December 2024.
“Dr. James will play a significant role in helping us to manage, scale, and evolve our business as we continue to accelerate our momentum in the communities we serve,” said Christopher Gorham, president and CEO of Triad Goodwill.
James is a graduate of Middle Tennessee State University where he earned a B.B.A. in Accounting and an M.B.A. in Business Administration. He earned a Ph.D. in accounting from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville. James comes to Triad Goodwill with over 14 years of finance and accounting experience. He has a proven track record of helping both non-profit and private organizations accelerate growth and achieve scale. Most recently he served as a professor and faculty of the Accounting and Finance division at North Carolina A&T State University.
James is an actively licensed Certified Personal Accountant and serves with the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He has an interest in research, particularly in financial accounting and pipeline diversity issues using behavioral research methodology – and has published numerous articles on these topics. James will be a major asset to Triad Goodwill’s business as they continue their steep growth trajectory across every facet of the organization.
