New Retail Store and Donation Center Opening Friday, December 12
GREENSBORO, NC – Goodwill Industries of Central North Carolina, Inc. (Triad Goodwill) is thrilled to announce the much-anticipated grand opening date of their new Retail Store and Donation Center at 6525 Jordan Road in Ramseur, NC. For several months, the community has watched this former Walgreens transform into a Triad Goodwill. Doors will open at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, December 12.
“We are proud to expand our footprint in Randolph County,” explains Celeste MacMurdo, executive vice president of retail operations for Triad Goodwill. “This new location, supported by the community, will enable us to reach and serve more individuals through our mission.”
This new Retail Store and Donation center will expand the organization’s mission of helping community members gain employment through career services and training programs. Like all Triad Goodwill retail stores and e-commerce site, 85 cents of every dollar spent at this store will go back to the non-profit’s mission of improving lives and enriching communities through the power of work.
In addition to supporting the organization’s employment services and training programs, this location will employ approximately 11 local, full-time and part-time team members and provide volunteer opportunities year-round. The store will be open Monday – Saturday 10:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. for shopping, and the donation center will close at 6:00 p.m. On Sundays the retail store and donation center will be open from 1:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.
To celebrate the store’s opening, the organization will be giving away reusable Goodwill tote bags to the first 100 customers on Friday and Saturday. Plus, on Friday and Saturday, customers will have the chance to win a $25 gift card if they find a hidden treasure chest while shopping! The lucky customers who find the treasure chest will need to bring it to the cashier to receive their gift card. Gift cards are limited to 1-time to win per person.
