A One-Stop Shop for a Budget-Friendly Halloween
GREENSBORO, NC – We’re less than 10 days away from Halloween, and Goodwill Industries of Central North Carolina, Inc. (Triad Goodwill) is here to help you create the perfect costume for you, your family, and your friends – even if it’s last minute! With hundreds of donations hitting the sales floor each day at their 25 shopping locations in Central North Carolina, there’s no doubt you can find exactly what you need – and at a great price!
“If Halloween snuck up on you this year, don’t worry – with a little imagination and creativity, your local Goodwill has you covered” explains Teresa East, vice president of marketing for Triad Goodwill. “Our stores are a dream for a last-minute DIY costume, and our prices are significantly lower than your specialty Halloween stores or big-name retailers, which is always helpful this time of year,” says East.
In fact, according to a recent national poll conducted by Goodwill Industries International, of shoppers planning to wear a costume, nearly 70% are also prioritizing savings, making secondhand shopping the smart choice for the season. Among Gen Z, 65% say they won’t spend a lot of money on costumes or costume materials this year. The poll also highlighted the importance of sustainability for shoppers this year with three in four adults (76%) saying Goodwill’s focus on sustainability impacts their decision to shop at Goodwill stores. This trend is particularly strong among Gen Z, with 84% of young adults influenced by the commitment to sustainability shown by Goodwill. Plus to save even more, starting October 25, all new Halloween goods (non-donated items, white tag only) will be 50% off while supplies last!
To help our last-minute shoppers this year, all Triad Goodwill locations have a unique Halloween area that is stocked with both donated and new Halloween goods for the whole family. Plus, each store has a “lookbook” filled with ideas, tips, and inspiration to help you build your costume using key pieces you can find at all our stores.
