FREE Books for Triad Goodwill Bookworms (Kids 0-18)
Every Friday, starting June 6th – August 29th, 2025
Triad Goodwill is excited to announce the return of Free Book Friday!
Each Friday this summer, children ages 0-18 can select an age-appropriate book at their favorite Triad Goodwill, bring it to the register to receive a receipt (no additional purchases are necessary), and enjoy! Children must be present to receive a free book, and are limited to one book per child, once a day.
While supplies last, children will also receive a free reusable tote to bring back each week, plus a few other goodies to celebrate a summer of reading!
Our community is encouraged to continue donating their gently used books to help grow and replenish our book selection throughout the summer.
Ready for School, Ready for Life
This year, Triad Goodwill is continuing their partnership with Ready for School, Ready for Life (Ready Ready) and has expanded the partnership to include Impact Alamance and the Randolph Partnership for Children to help your kids improve their reading skills this summer. Whether your child is just starting their reading journey as an infant or a high school senior, we want to ensure our communities’ youth have access to books.
Locations in Guilford, Alamance, and Randolph counties will have information for parents and caretakers on The Basics Program available through Ready, Ready, Impact Alamance, and Randolph Partnership for Children. The Basics Program is a free program that provides tips and support via email and text to help ensure your child is ready to start school strong!
“We are deeply grateful to Ready, Ready, Impact Alamance, and Randolph Partnership for Children for joining us in strengthening this year’s Free Book Friday program,” says Jessica Schultz, vice president of career development services at Triad Goodwill. “Together, we are fostering literacy and enriching the lives of children in our communities.”
